Singer Songwriting

I wrote my very first song "Going Far Away" at the age of nine, scribbled on a note pad about the excitement and fear in my little girl's heart the night before I went to sleepaway camp for the first time.Over the twenty five years since, the same impulse to transfigure sentiment into song has taken shape in two albums: Once, Again and Carnival Detour, streamable on the links below.I have two new musical projects in the works: Spirit Takes Flight a soulful collection of songs that tug on my spirit... and a to-be-named dance album spanning Bachata to EDM to ecstatic jungle tracks because it's about time I wrote something happy.

My most recent collection of poetry is entitled Enough. Released in 2024 this book takes a 90 poem ride along the rollercoaster of love, grief, lust, queer-awakening and laughter.White Noise in the Curling Sun, released in 2014, is a collection of spoken word poetry. It's wild and takes you to the edges of language, sometimes breaking words down towards the meaninglessness of sound, and sometimes stringing them together to paint lush landscapes and stories.A Changing, It Would Seem, It Would Seem released in 2013 was part of my Undergraduate Thesis project and turns the text from the UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's 2014 Synthesis Report into a work of poetry, giving the heart and mind access to felt sensation of the reports of a changin climate by breaking the language of data into a poetic text.
